After such fun last year with the On Delay crew in Colombia, Laura and Wren angled for a second meetup. Anywhere. The travel gods gave a thumbs up for Thanksgiving this year. The hitch? A fully land-based vacation with Jane and Tony as On Delay gets repaired and rejuvenated in Panama City. What are friends to do? Make the most of it!

On the way to dinner at Beirut (local place with great Mediterranean food), Pete noticed movement on the walking path. What should we see, a two-toed SLOTH!
February 5 to 7th, 2013, Passage from Cayos Viverillo to Ambergris Caye, Belize
I gotta keep working on the lettered animals if I’m gonna make it through the alphabet before we’re off the boat.
We did see some magnificent dolphins on our way to Ambergris Caye.

Tony and Pete bought a seine net in Panama. Pete tried it out. Tony found a YouTube video on how to do it. Then Pete tried out the technique.
We checked out of Aruba on Tuesday afternoon (Sept 25th) and arrived in Colombia around midday on Thursday (Sept 27th). We sailed about 275 miles.

During routine cleaning of our sea strainer, Pete found the usual seaweed detritus plus the tiniest octopus we’d ever seen.
