July 13th and July 28, 2012, Sauteurs, Grenada
If you ever find yourself in Grenada, I recommend a few nights stay at the lovely Petite Anse Hotel on the north tip of the island. Even if you haven’t been living on a sailboat for three months, you’ll find the Petite Anse Hotel to be charming and romantic.

- We were greeted with this stunning floral arrangement in the attractive bar/lounge/diningroom.

- Awesome tea and coffee service ever. Real coffee, decent tea, a pot for the tea and fresh milk in the fridge! [One of my pet peeves is that hotels never do this: the creamer always some hydrogenated vegetable oil product.]

- The swimming pool. There is also a little beach for those who prefer salt water.

- The Petite Anse Hotel is at the very northern tip of Grenada.

- The rooms (actually cottages) have mosquito netting over the beds; a nice touch. Tony did not get any new mosquito bites here.

- Max collected Andy, Pete and Gayle from the beach a few miles away. (He had to make a several trips to find them.) A, P & G spent the night on the boat but joined us for Sunday breakfast.

- On our second visit, we enjoyed the local breakfast: salt fish, bakes, hard-boiled eggs, boiled plantains, fried plantains, and tomatoes.

- On our first visit, we had the beautifully prepared English breakfast.
Sounds nice, J..we’ll keep it in mind! We’re in SFO, right now..just finished dog-sitting Hermione for a month. Arf..Tonight we’re going to the Burritt Room,, at Stockton and Bush.. never tried it before. We’re enjoying our place at the Comstock.. We come here to rest, after all the parties in Reno! We bought another house in Reno…larger..going to rent out the present place. We think of you all often.
Forgot to tell you that I like salted fish (only had cod).. that dish looked good!
